Looking back, the British cult teen series was a hotbed of talent. Skins premiered on Channel 4's digital channel E4 in January 2007 with an mission that set it apart from most teen series: it would have teenage writers writing for teenage actors, with the cast turning over every two seasons as the actors aged out of their roles. Get Out star and Best Actor nominee Daniel Kaluuya was 17 years old when he served as a writer and occasional actor on Skins, personally writing two episodes, hosting the show's podcast and playing the role of "Posh Kenneth." Dev Patel, who was nominated for best supporting actor at last year's Oscars for Lion, played horny teen Anwar. Other big names to emerge fromSkins include Game of Thrones stars Hannah Murray and Joe Dempsie, as well as movie stars Nicholas Hoult, Jack O'Connell and Kaya Scodelario.
