The Stranger Things star's new show, Prank Encounters, is unlike Punk'd in that rather than mock celebrities, it makes those seeking employment go through "full-time nightmares." "TV prank shows are kind of like measles epidemics: They’re sudden, happen seemingly at random, and it’s hard to believe that they’re still popping up in the world in twenty-nine-f*cking-teen," says William Hughes. "And yet, we feel compelled by public duty to note that people everywhere should be on the lookout for Stranger Things star Gaten Matarazzo, who has just begun production on an eight-episode Netflix prank series targeting our most laugh-ready of societal victims: People just trying to find a damn job." As actress Julie Ann Emery put it: This is not okay. And this guy is a kid. I wish they would list the producers here who thought this was a good idea." ALSO: Prank Encounters sounds like a Black Mirror episode.
