Martin used his "Not a Blog" this morning to offer "Random Updates and Bits o' News" about the various Game of Thrones spinoffs. The Nymeria series will still be called Ten Thousand Ships and has added Person of Interest, Helstrom and The Mist veteran Amanda Segel as showrunner. The Corlys Velaryon series Nine Voyages has been retitled The Sea Snake to avoid having two shows with numbers in the title. Rome co-creator and The Mentalist creator Bruno Heller will serve as The Sea Snake's showrunner. Patriot creator Steve Conrad, meanwhile, will oversee the Dunk and Egg series. “He’s determined to do a faithful adaptation of the stories, which is exactly what I want; these characters and stories are very precious to me,” explains Martin. “The first season will be an adaptation of the first novella, The Hedge Knight.”
