Grey's Anatomy boss: We're not trying to "erase" Patrick Dempsey's Derek from the show

Showrunner Krista Vernoff responded to a Twitter complaint last night that she is trying to "erase" McDreamy from the show in the wake of Meredith Grey's new love life. "Respectfully, I have zero desire to erase Derek or Patrick," Vernoff tweeted in response. "He left the show. The show goes on. Meredith goes on. Life goes on."
