Gary Janetti's animated comedy was supposed to debut this spring, but Prince Philip's death at age 99 has put a wrench in those plans. “We were saddened to learn of Prince Philip’s passing and will adjust plans for the series debut,” an HBO spokesperson tells The Hollywood Reporter. “A new date will be announced at a later time.” A still from The Prince shows an unflattering portrayal of Prince Philip, who is voiced by Dan Stevens. It's unclear if the show will be changed in wake of Philip's death.
