McNamara, Patton Oswalt's late wife, was writing I’ll Be Gone in the Dark: One Woman’s Obsessive Search for the Golden State Killer when she died in her sleep two years ago. Oswalt will serve as executive producer of the docuseries that probes the mysterious California serial killer.
