HBO is ending months of speculation, confirming that Season 6 of the tech industry comedy will be its last. It will also be its shortest season, airing later this year with seven episodes. Seasons 1 through 5 aired with eight to 10 episodes. It's been rumored that Silicon Valley would be ending since executive producer Alec Berg had to push back filming on Season 6 to this summer due to his work on Barry. "Silicon Valley has been a career and life highlight for us,” co-creator Mike Judge and Berg said in a statement. “We’ll miss it desperately, but we’ve always let Pied Piper’s journey guide the way, and Season 6 seems to be the fitting conclusion. We are forever indebted to our incredible cast, crew, and partners at HBO. At a certain point, there’s only so much we can do to make the world a better place.”
