HBO gives a series order to Veep creator's Avenue 5 space comedy, starring Hugh Laurie

Armando Iannucci serves as creator, writer, executive producer and pilot director of Avenue 5, a space tourism comedy set 40 years in the future "when the solar system is everyone’s oyster." Laurie will play the captain of the space cruise ship, called Avenue 5. Josh Gad will take on the role of billionaire Herman Judd, the face and name behind the spaceship. They'll be joined by Zach Woods and Nikki Amuka-Bird.
