HBO teams with crime writer Ace Atkins to adapt his Quinn Colson novels

The pay cable network will adapt Atkins' book series about Colson, "a former Army Ranger who returns to his home in rural northeast Mississippi, per Variety. "But upon returning, he discovers that where he grew up has been overrun with corruption, drugs, and violence."
