Head of the Class reboot gets an HBO Max series order

One Day at a Time's Isabella Gomez will star as the teacher of a class of overachieving students in the reboot of the 1986-1991 ABC sitcom that starred Howard Hesseman and, in its final season, Billy Connolly in the title role. Bill Lawrence will serve as executive producer of the multi-camera comedy from Amy Pocha and Seth Cohen.
