The History channel will celebrate the 25th anniversary of its brand next April with a three-day HIstoryCon event in Pasadena. HistoryCon will bring together the stars of such History channel shows as American Pickers, Forged in Fire and Pawn Stars. HIstorians like Doris Kearns Goodwin will also be on hand. The HistoryCon announcement comes days after the success of Bravo's inaugural BravoCon. “HistoryCon is a natural extension of our programming and a way to celebrate History’s 25th anniversary in an epic manner,” A+E Networks chief Paul Buccieri said in the announcement of the event. “HistoryCon is designed as an immersive experience that will satiate the most hardcore history-enthusiasts and give fans of our shows the opportunity to engage with our talent and deepen their connection to the brand.”
