Last year while promoting her two Hallmark holiday films, Peete suggested making a movie featuring a character on the autism spectrum. Peete, whose teenage son has autism, is a longtime advocate on behalf of people with autism through her HollyRod foundation. She'll play a mother with a teenage son who has autism. “I am making this movie for my son RJ, others with autism and their families,” said Peete. “I am grateful to Hallmark for bringing this story to screen with authenticity, respect and hope.”
