The recently departed Civil Rights icon and longtime U.S. representative appeared as a cartoon bear on a 2018 episode of the PBS kids' series. In it, Arthur dozes off while trying to think of ways to fight for his friend, lunch lady Mrs. MacGrady, who has been working longer hours. While dreaming, Arthur meets John Lewis, who tells him to keep fighting for his friend. “Sometimes people don’t hear the first time," Lewis says. "You have to be persistent. But if this means a lot to you, do not give up. Hold your ground. A person with conviction can change the world.”
