How Nathan Fielder got Comedy Central to approve a two-hour Nathan For You season finale

”I have a contract to deliver half-hour episodes," says Fielder. "So I came to them and said, 'This wasn't intended to be this long, but we have this now, what do we do?' (Comedy Central president) Kent (Alterman) was skeptical it could be two hours. He was like, 'Let me see it first.' I did a screening for him and he came out and said, 'Okay, this has two be two hours.'"
