Mack is reportedly second in command of the cult NXIVM, whose founder Keith Raniere was arrested earlier this week in Mexico while she was accompanying him. Mack's Smallville co-star Kristin Kreuk responded to reports that she was also in the cult, tweeting that she left NXIVM five years ago before she saw anything “illegal or nefarious."
