After 18 years, Survivor could greatly improve if it dropped the idols and advantages, the twists and turns, and fixed the editing. Another important that should be done, but probably won't, is to stop Probst from also simultaneously working as a producer. "His endless challenge exposition is grating, but the real problem is that he’s producing in the moment instead of hosting," says Andy Dehnart. "It’s painful to watch as he tries to force things to happen or make Television Moments, especially when he misses the actual story."
