Rae will appear in all eight episodes of the filmmaker reality competition, which will give talented female filmmakers a chance to direct a feature film that will be shown on HBO Max. Rae takes over as executive producer from Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, who led the first four seasons of Project Greenlight. Seasons 1 and 2 aired on HBO in 2001 and 2003, respectively. The horror-themed Season 3 aired on Bravo, while the show was revived for a fourth season on HBO in 2015. “At HBO Max, we are committed to providing a platform for diverse, up-and-coming talent, said HBO Max's Jennifer O’Connell, executive vice president, Non-Fiction and Live-Action Family. “Issa is uniquely skilled in this space, and we are thrilled to be partnering with her and Miramax as a promising group of filmmakers is inspired and challenged with their biggest opportunity yet.”
