Lynch revealed details of the comedy project backstage at the Creative Arts Emmys Sunday night after winning an Emmy for guest-starring on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. At first, Lynch would only say that she had recently sold a show to Netflix with Lauper and that she didn't know "if I can even talk about it." The Hollywood Reporter reports that after some coaxing, Lynch offered details of the show: "We're our age, I'm almost 60, she's 65, and we're looking for our next act without having had husbands or children. There will be two other folks in it who haven't been cast yet. It's kind of a Golden Girls for today." In July, comedian, former Seinfeld writer and The Ellen Show co-creator Carol Leifer revealed she would be working with Lynch and Lauper on the potential comedy. Netflix has yet to make an official announcement.
