Jean-Marc Vallée to direct HBO's Gorilla and the Bird limited series from producer Channing Tatum

Vallée is re-teaming with HBO on another limited series after successfully helming Big Little Lies and Sharp Objects. Gorilla and the Bird is based on the memoir by former attorney Zack McDermott, telling “an inspirational tale of a mother’s unconditional love for her bipolar son.”
