Jeffrey Tambor may not be done with Transparent

  • The New York Times reports that "a representative for the actor disclosed to The Times recently that, in fact, Mr. Tambor had no plans to quit." That line is part of a new Times report about how the sexual misconduct allegations against Tambor particularly hit the cast and crew of Transparent hard because they considered their show a safe space from that sort of behavior. Tambor's representative, publicist Allan Mayer, explained that what Tambor said in his original “I don’t see how I can return" statement "was that given the toxic atmosphere and the politicization on the set, it’s very hard for him to see how he can possibly return. But no final decision for next year has been made, either by Jeffrey or by Amazon.”
