Kimmel invited himself on for the latest edition of Conan's Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend podcast. In their conversation, Kimmel revealed that in his early years, ABC considered pursuing Conan to replace Jimmy Kimmel Live! This was not long after Kimmel started his late-night stint and before Conan signed his infamous Tonight Show-in-waiting deal in 2004. Conan responded by telling Kimmel that he doesn't recall ABC pursuing him -- only Fox was interested in signing him in the early 2000s.
