Kimmel said last week he "would bet anything" that the first pandemic Emmy ceremony will be its lowest-rated. Faced with the NBA playoffs for the first time and Sunday Night Football, the 72nd Emmys dropped 14% with 5.11 total viewers based on preliminary numbers. The number is expected to change when the final numbers are released later today. UPDATE: Emmys were down 12% with 6.1 million viewers based on Nielsen final ratings.
