John Mulaney joins Seth Meyers' Late Night writing staff

Executive producer Mike Shoemaker announced the news on Twitter Thursday evening accompanied by a video of his first sketch as a "rookie" writer. "I hope he stays for 100 years but I will settle for 'as long as John wants,'" tweeted Shoemaker. It's unclear how involved Mulaney will be on Late Night, but and Seth Meyers are longtime collaborators, from Saturday Night Live to Documentary Now!
