John Oliver bakes a large marble cake to call out the Guinness World Records' connection with authoritarian governments

On Last Week Tonight, Oliver pointed out how “authoritarians love getting Guinness World Records” as they help earn publicity and reinforce “a cult of personality” for the leaders. So he baked the world’s largest marble cake featuring the authoritarian Turkmenistan’s president Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, referred to by Oliver as a “human rights abusing horse f*cker,” tumbling from his horse to have Guinness enter it into the record books. Unfortunately, Guinness refused to work with Oliver unless he signed an agreement not to criticize them on the show.
