The Last Week Tonight host pointed out that it's up to the International Olympic Committee -- not Tokyo Olympic officials -- whether the Summer Olympics kick off in one month. Oliver also noted that the number of daily deaths in Japan from COVID-19 is higher than it was last year when the games were canceled. “I don’t know what the target percentage should be to safely host the Olympics,” Oliver said. “I’m pretty sure right now it should be higher than the number of entries in the Fast & Furious franchise.” ALSO: Tokyo Olympics to allow up to 10,000 spectators.
