Reid, host of A.M. Joy on weekends, is expected to serve as lead-in for MSNBC's primetime lineup of Chris Hayes, Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O'Donnell with her own left-leaning show at 7 p.m. ET, reports The Wall Street Journal. Matthews vacated the Hardball timeslot when he abruptly resigned in March amid sexual harassment allegations. Reid would become MSNBC's only minority daily primetime host.
