Justin Timberlake in talks to play Gong Show host/CIA assassin Chuck Barris in an Apple TV+ limited series

The untitled series will be based on Barris' 1984 memoir Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, which was turned into a George Clooney-directed 2002 film of the same name starring Sam Rockwell as Barris. In the book, Barris claims his shows The Gong Show and The Newlywed Game were covers for his real job: CIA assassin.
