Kal Penn is writing his memoir

The House and Designated Survivor alum and former Obama administration aide is releasing a book, You Can't Be Serious, from Simon & Schuster "about growing up as a skinny kid with a funny name and later helping another skinny kid with a funny name become President of the United States." The book will be part memoir and part essay collection.
