Jimmy Kimmel Live! announced Monday that presidential candidate West, who garnered 60,000 votes across 12 states on Election Day, would join the show tonight. But West quickly canceled. “On Wednesday, the day after the election, we’ll be joined in studio by maybe the next president of the United States, Kanye West,” Kimmel said on his show. “Oh, he canceled? Kanye canceled moments ago; he will not be here, but I’ll be here. Can I cancel too? Well, we’ll try to get one of the other presidents to come in.” Instead, Kimmel will have on Sen. Cory Booker, who just won another six-year term, and Kerry Washington, who's been campaigning for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Kimmel will also feature Bernie Sanders, Ted Cruz, Elizabeth Warren and more in “Politicians Read Mean Tweets." Meanwhile, Jimmy Fallon will interview MSNBC's Steve Kornacki on The Tonight Show. On The Late Show, CNBC's Shepard Smith will join Stephen Colbert. Conan O'Brien will host former Sen. Al Franken on TBS. And James Corden's Late Late Show is reportedly still trying to figure out what to do for tonight's show. “The show will be as topical as we can be, but we’re recording in afternoon, so by the night anything could have changed," a source tells Deadline. "We all feel as nervous as everyone else does, so I’m sure that will be reflected in the show.”
