Kathy Bates is returning to American Horror Story for Season 8

“Kathy and Sarah Paulson have a lot of great stuff to get to do,” Ryan Murphy tells EW. “So, with Evan Peters, the three of them are the leads this year.” Bates has appeared in four previous American Horror Story seasons, the last being Season 6's Roanoke.
