The two-time Oscar nominee is set to make her biggest commitment to television to date, starring in and producing the Hulu TV series adaptation of Suzanne Rindell's 2013 novel The Other Typist. Chaiken, co-creator of The L Word and former Empire showrunner, will write and oversee the series. If picked up, The Other Typist would mark Knightly's biggest TV role after years of starring in movies and appearing in several TV movies and miniseries, including 2011's Neverland. "Set in New York City at the height of the Prohibition era, The Other Typist is a psycho-sexual suspense thriller that turns on themes of identity, class, obsession and misplaced (or misunderstood) desire," per Deadline. "In it, Rose, a prim, unworldly police department typist gets drawn into the shady world of her glamorous new co-worker, Odalie (Knightley) but when the ultimate crime is committed, it’s uncertain which of the two women was the more treacherous."
