Nealon, who was on Saturday Night Live from 1986 to 1995, once held the record for longest-serving cast member. The former "Weekend Update" anchor tells The Last Laugh podcast, "I was kind of pushed out," adding that he was kind of "lackadaisical" toward the end of his tenure. "I was essentially kind of forced out," says Nealon. "I knew they probably wouldn’t bring me back if I wanted to. So the writing was on the wall. I had been there for a while, they saw all my tricks. And I got it. I really didn’t want to stay any longer, I had my fill of it.”
