Killing Eve may have its third female showrunner if there's a Season 3

Phoebe Waller-Bridge didn't return for Season 2 so she could work on Fleabag, handing off the showrunner job to her friend Emerald Fennell. Should Killing Eve be renewed for a third season, Waller-Bridge expects there to be a new female showrunner. Asked at the TV press tour if she would return, Waller-Bridge responded: “No, hopefully we’re going to continue this tradition of handing it on to a different woman every single time. Because that would be a really cool thing to do, to give other voices in the same story a go.”
