Lee Daniels confirms Star is dead after his failed attempts to shop the canceled Fox drama

"It ain't happening," Daniels said in an Instagram video, adding that "I did my best" to find the musical drama a new home. "I’m at a loss for words to describe my sadness," he captioned the video.
