The composer joins a small club of Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony winners that includes Whoopi Goldberg, John Legend and Rita Moreno. Menken and lyricist Glenn Slater were awarded Best Original Song in a Children's, Young Adult or Animated Program for "Waiting in the Wings" from the Disney Channel series.
