The 66-year-old studio has been home to everything from Elvis Presley's first Ed Sullivan Show appearance to The Carol Burnett Show to James Corden's Late Late Show to All in the Family, The Price is Right, Three's Company, Love Connection, Double Dare, Real Time with Bill Maher, The Jeffersons, American Idol, Dancing with the Stars and many other hit shows. On Tuesday, the Los Angeles City Council voted to name Television City a historic-cultural monument. The city's decision comes months after a report that CBS was considering selling the property for as much as $900 million.
