Creator Jennifer Kaytin Robinson has been working for the past year on a comic book revival of her 2016-17 one-season MTV drama series about two female college students who secretly act as vigilantes against sexual assailants. Robinson says last week's Kavanaugh hearings helped seal the deal. “I was basically crying all day," said Robinson of the Kavanaugh hearings. "I didn’t know what to do, so I started writing the comic. I was watching her testifying and him testifying, and in my brain, I was just listening to Ophelia and Jules talking about it." On the same day, Black Mask Studios co-founder Matt Pizzolo, who had been working on the comic book with Robinson, decided it was time to make the Sweet/Vicious comic book official.
