Slattery will play a brilliant but paranoid former tech CEO who joins a Homeland Cybersecurity agent's team in trying to stop the world's first artificial intelligence crisis. He'll portray a character described as "extremely intelligent. People think he may be a sociopath but he’s really just a narcissist with money instead of social graces," according to Deadline. This will be Slattery's first broadcast pilot since The WB's Jack & Bobby in 2004. He's also starring on Amazon's Modern Love. Deadline reports that Fox CEO Charlie Collier, who was head of AMC when he worked with Slattery was on Mad Men, had a hand in Slattery joining the pilot. (Collier is also said to be responsible for getting The Walking Dead alum Tom Payne on another Fox drama pilot, Prodigal Son.)
