Maggie Griffin, Kathy Griffin's mother and her My Life on the D-List co-star, dies at 99

“My Mom, the one and only, Maggie Griffin, passed away today," Griffin wrote on Twitter Instagram last night. "I am gutted. My best friend. I’m shaking." Maggie Griffin was a fan-favorite wine-swilling presence in Griffin's 2005-2010 Bravo reality show, Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List. In her posts, Kathy included a photo with her mom, who is seen hoisting a wine glass poolside at their L.A. home. In January 2019, Griffin revealed her mom was suffering from dementia. "I won’t ever be prepared," Griffin added. "Her point of view. So unique. We just GOT each other. I’m so grateful you got to be part of her life. You loved her. I know it. She knew it. She’s irreplaceable. I’m telling you right now, I am not doing well with this. I’m rambling now. Sorry. It truly feels like the end of an era. Oh, and OF COURSE she went on St Patrick’s Day."
