Loeb led Marvel into live-action TV adaptations, including ABC's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Young Carter, Netflix's Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage and The Defenders, plus FX's Legion, Hulu's The Runaways and Freeform's Cloak and Dagger. Loeb is stepping down as Kevin Feige, who has overseen Marvel's movie dominance, has been promoted to chief creative officer, allowing him to oversee film and TV, as well as publishing and animation. While Loeb's Marvel TV adaptations haven't been that successful, Feige has been able to integrate Marvel movies with the upcoming Disney+ series Loki, Falcon & the Winter Soldier, What If, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk and Moon Knight. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Loeb's exit was in the works before Feige's promotion on Oct. 15.
