The Guardian reports that more than 20,000 Christians marshalled by the Return to Order campaign signed a petition calling on Netflix to cancel Good Omens because it's "another step to make satanism appear normal, light and acceptable," and “mocks God’s wisdom," especially since God is "voiced by a woman." The petition wrongly calls for Netflix to cancel Good Omens, which is a collaboration between BBC and Amazon. Creator Neil Gaiman responded to the petition on Twitter, tweeting: “I love that they are going to write to Netflix to try and get #GoodOmens cancelled. Says it all really. This is so beautiful ... Promise me you won’t tell them?”
