Tom Brokaw joined Lester Holt following Wednesday's broadcast for a 70th-anniversary celebration of NBC Nightly News, which premiered on Feb. 16, 1948 as the 10-minute program NBC Television Newsreel. Brian Williams apparently wasn't in attendance.
