Fox, NBC and CBS rotate airing the Super Bowl every three years. NBC, which last aired the Super Bowl in 2018, was scheduled to next air it in 2021. But the New York Post reports NBC and CBS have agreed to swap Super Bowl years. NBC will get CBS' 2022 Super Bowl. CBS will move up in the rotation, airing the Super Bowl in 2021. That means there will be a four-year gap between NBC's Super Bowls and a two-year gap between CBS' Super Bowls. "The move is being made because NBC would like to pair its Super Bowl with the 2022 Olympics," according to The Post's Andrew Marchand. "Having the mega-events back-to-back in one year makes selling advertising easier, as NBC will be able to make combo deals instead of competing against another network for many of the same sponsors."
