NBC received plenty of backlash for airing the much publicized Trump campaign ad during last night's highly rated Sunday Night Football game, including from Will & Grace star Debra Messing, who tweeted "I am ashamed that my network aired this disgusting racist ad." On Saturday, CNN tweeted that "this ad is racist." "After further review we recognize the insensitive nature of the ad and have decided to cease airing it across our properties as soon as possible," NBC said in a statement. Fox News also decided to pull the ad. "Upon further review, Fox News pulled the ad yesterday and it will not appear on either Fox News Channel or Fox Business Network," Fox News said in a statement. When reporters asked Trump about the ad, the president responded: “I don’t know about it. I mean, you’re telling me something I don’t know about. We have a lot of ads, and they certainly are effective, based on the numbers that we’re seeing.” When asked if it was offensive, he said: “A lot of things are offensive. Your questions are offensive a lot of times.”
