National Geographic Channel's virtual upfront presentation announced that the coronavirus-delayed Aretha Franklin season of Genius will air this fall after it was previously scheduled to premiere this month. A Bobby Bones travelogue series was also announced, following the American Idol mentor as he travels to far-flung locations in the United States to "find people with unique jobs, skills, hobbies and abilities, before attempting to perform those same tricks himself." Nat Geo also announced a six-part docuseries titled 9/11 that will mark 20 years since the Sept. 11 attacks and a reboot of the classic series Explorer.
