Netflix announces Lucifer's Season 5 premiere date, but doesn't say it's the final season

Lucifer was renewed a year ago for a fifth and final season. But Tom Ellis reportedly signed on for Season 6, which has yet to be officially ordered. Netflix announced this morning that the first part of Season 5 will drop on Aug. 21. “In the stunning fifth season, the stakes are higher than ever,” reads an official teaser. “Secrets will be revealed, beloved characters will die, and we’ll finally get an answer to the question, ‘Will they or won’t they?'” Watch the "Date Announcement" trailer.
