Netflix cancels Chelsea Handler’s late-night talk show after two seasons

Chelsea, Netflix’s first talk show, failed to gain traction in the crowded late-night space. But Handler will continue to work with Netflix with an original documentary on the current political landscape. Handler announced the news in a lengthy Twitter message, saying that instead of doing her show, she plans to be more active on the national level in political causes. “My goal is to be better informed, raise my voice, and participate in a more meaningful way,” she writes. Chelsea will continue airing new episodes until the end of the year.
