The four-part docuseries that premiered in February followed small-town pharmacist Dan Schneider's attempt in 1999 to take down illegal pill-mills after his son died of a drug overdose. Oscar- and Emmy-nominated producer David Permut has picked up the rights to adapt The Pharmacist for the big screen.
