The classic kids game show, which originally aired with host Marc Summers from 1986 to 1993, is returning to the cable network this summer with 40 new episodes. However, it appears that Summers won't be back as host. Nickelodeon said in its announcement that the reboot will "feature appearances from blasts from the past, longtime Double Dare fans and stars from today." In 2016, Summers returned for a Double Dare 30th-anniversary special. Double Dare is the latest Nickelodeon revival series, coming one month after the announcement of a Blues Clues reboot. ALSO: Marc Summers has an "Isn't this interesting" response to the revival.
