Starting tonight, the ABC News program will have a temporary new documentary look and feel, with Juju Chang and Byron Pitts continuing to anchor. The "Turning Point" project, which will also be included on Good Morning America and World News Tonight, will cover everything from reparations to slavery in its in-depth examination of race. ABC News has enlisted ABC News personalities from Diane Sawyer to Michael Strahan to John Quiñones to deliver "Turning Point" stories. “It was important for us to seize this as an opportunity, to plant a flag and to lay down a marker that says this is one of the most important issues of our time and one of the most important issues confronting America today,” says Marie Nelson, senior vice president of integrated content strategy for ABC News. “And that deserves a deeper dive.”
